AetherGuard Technologies handles cybersecurity engagements, managed IT services, and personal security audits, work that often involves sensitive information. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected.

1. Overview

AetherGuard Technologies (“AetherGuard,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides managed IT services, cybersecurity and network security services, cloud solutions, custom software and web development, home network security, and personal digital exposure (OSINT-based) security audits. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit aetherguard.xyz, submit a contact or support request, request a security audit, or engage us for a service. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

What we collect depends on how you interact with us:

  • Contact & Service Inquiry Forms

Name, email address, phone number, company name, and the message or service details you provide.

  • Personal Security Audit Requests

Full name, primary and additional email addresses, phone number, home address, and known usernames or online handles. This is the most sensitive category of data we collect, since it is the input we use to search for your own digital exposure. See Section 4 for how this data is specifically handled.

  • Paid Audit, Protection Plan & Managed Service Clients

Billing and account information needed to process payment for one-time audits (e.g. the In-Depth Security Audit) or recurring plans (e.g. Elite Privacy Protection, Executive Protection), processed through our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

  • Customer Reviews

Name, email address, company (optional), the service reviewed, star rating, and review text. Approved reviews are displayed publicly on our website; your email address is never shown publicly.

  • Support & Ticket Requests

Contact details and a description of the issue, routed into our internal support ticketing system so our team can respond and track resolution.

  • Automatically Collected Data

Standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected through normal web server logging.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to contact, support, and service inquiries
  • To perform the personal security audit or protection plan you requested, including searching surface web, data broker, and breach-database sources for your own exposed information
  • To deliver managed IT, cybersecurity, network, cloud, or development services under a signed engagement or statement of work
  • To process payment for paid audits, add-ons, or subscription protection plans
  • To display approved customer reviews on our website
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of our own website and systems
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use the personal information you submit for advertising, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. How We Handle Personal Security Audit Data

Our personal security audits (Free Surface Audit, In-Depth Security Audit, Elite Privacy Protection, and Executive Protection Plan) are built on ethical OSINT methodology: we only search surface web sources, data broker listings, and breach databases that are legally and publicly accessible. We do not access private accounts, hack systems, or use unlawful means to investigate your exposure.

Because the information you submit for an audit (name, emails, phone number, address, usernames) is used as search input against public and breach data, we apply stricter handling to it than to general contact-form data:

  • Submissions are transmitted and stored using encrypted channels and encrypted storage
  • For one-time audits (Free Surface Audit, In-Depth Security Audit), working files used to conduct the investigation are deleted after your report is delivered
  • For active Elite or Executive Protection subscriptions, we retain only the minimum information needed to continue monitoring for as long as the subscription is active
  • Audit findings and source data are never shared, sold, or disclosed to any third party outside the AetherGuard team members performing your audit
  • Delivery timeframes (e.g. 3-5 business days for the Free Surface Audit) are estimates, not guarantees, and can vary with current case volume

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate our business and deliver the services you requested:

  • A managed database provider, used to store submitted reviews and related site data
  • Our internal support ticketing system, used to track and respond to support and contact requests
  • Email delivery infrastructure, used to send audit reports and respond to inquiries
  • A payment processor, used solely to process payment for paid audits, add-ons, and subscription plans

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AetherGuard, our clients, or others.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact, support, and inquiry data for as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain reasonable business records. Personal security audit data is retained according to the schedule described in Section 4. Published reviews are retained until you request removal. You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 13.

7. Security Measures

As a cybersecurity company, we hold ourselves to the same standards we recommend to our clients. Data in transit is encrypted, access to sensitive audit data is restricted to the team members performing the work, and our infrastructure is monitored and hardened on an ongoing basis. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we design our handling of your data around minimizing exposure and retention.

8. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses a small amount of browser local storage required for the site to function, such as remembering your cookie preference, along with an optional analytics cookie that helps us understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve our content. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

When you first visit our site, a banner lets you accept or decline the optional analytics cookie. Analytics only runs if you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of any page.

9. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

You may request, at any time and free of charge, to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, including audit working files, contact submissions, or a published review
  • Cancel an active Elite or Executive Protection subscription

Submit any of these requests through our Contact page or the email address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older and for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Users

AetherGuard Technologies is based in the United States. If you access our website or services from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
